Nevadia weeksi Description: This is a beautiful and most aesthetically preserved specimen. The specimen is a mid-sized fully mature adult. Nevadia trilobites of this size and preservation are rarely found. It is about 95% intact with absolutely no enhancement, repairs or reconstruction. Specifically, the right genal is missing, as are the tips of a few spines on the right side of the thorax. Note the excellent opistothorax. The matrix is a drab olive color, typical of that found at the collecting site. It is 3D, inflated and has excellent presence. Note the large thick plate on which it is residing. In my humble estimation, the massiveness of the plate adds to the specimen’s overall presentation. Clearly, it would make a wonderful centerpiece for any western states, or, Cambrian trilobite collection.
