Rare Lonchodomas drummuckensis Trilobite from Scotland

Description: Presented is rare treat from an old collection that I managed to acquire. Lonchodomas drummuckensis are from the classic “Starfish” Beds of Girvan. This location is now protected and off-limits to any kind of fossil collecting. This is an excellent quality specimen, only the right genal spine is missing. (It is highly unusual to find complete specimens from this site.) It has a dark chocolate color, is inflated and shows very well. The species is readily identified by the long nose spine and flaring genals.
