Ogygopsis typicalis TrilobiteDescription: Not only is this a rare Nevada trilobite species, it is found in a truly remote location. The Groom Range borders the infamous Area 51. (Yes, the Area 51 of UFOs, black ops etc.) Its range is limited to the Middle Cambrian. Ogygopsis typicalis is closely related to the world famous Burgess Shale trilobite species, Ogygopsis klotzi.

This specimen has lustrous black skin framed by the dark gray surrounding shale. It is fully 3D and inflated. The two flaws are the missing top of the anterior top border and right free cheek.
