Elrathia Trilobites Mass Mortality from Wheeler Formation

Description: This is a mass mortality plate that I recovered and prepared from the Wheeler Formation numerous Elrathia kingii trilobites of various sizes. If you've hunted trilobites in Utah, you'll know that such finds are an uncommon occurence. The Wheeler Formation also yields Burgess Shale like soft bodied animals, though not in abundance, and almost never in trilobite layers; most collectors can't even recognize them.
