Trilobites imageDescription: This extensive assemblage of trilobites from the Wheeler Shale holds over 140 examples of Cambrian trilobites, a most unusual concentration of specimens. The majority are Ptychopariids, with Bolaspidella housensis predominating. The other trilobites are Agnostids, and pepper the plate with mostly small examples. Any of you have actually collected trilobites in the field can appreciate just how rare a find this plaque is.
