KoneprusitesHere is a nice trilobite: A member of the Order Proetida, Family Tropidocoryphidae from the Devonian deposits of Djebel Issimour, Morocco. It is called Koneprusites, and is somewhat larger than most examples I have seen, Notice the presence of macropleural spines as well, something not commonly seen in this order. The Tucson Fossil Show often is the first place that new material comes to light, as was the case with this little bug a decade ago. I have seen few since. It is quite 3-D in preservation, and displays well on gray matrix basee.
