Description: All the fins, gills, head, the vertebrate and even some skin are well represented on this specimen. The plate was cracked and repaired Absolutely no enhancement was performed on the specimen. These deposits were formed in a warm salt-water lagoon. All kinds of plants and animals were incredibly well preserved, including soft bodied organisms and the world's most famous fossil Archeopteryx, early bird. I acquired all my Solnhofen material from my German collector friend who lives by a public quarry and gets to dig all he wishes.
