Description: A nice representative of this genus, well preserved on both sides. These ammonites are best known for their distinctively ribbed shells, shown here as they are preserved in rich beige Calcite. The species derives its name from the river by which the first specimens were found, just as these were, in deposits from near the Jurassic/Cretaceous boundary.
