Description: This is an unusual death-bed assemblage of about 20 partial specimens of the belemnite Acrocoelites. The specimens are fully 3D and appear to be agatized. There are also abundant small bone fragments of swimming reptiles like Ichthyosaurs within the matrix. The plate was cracked and repaired. I am not aware of these colorful and attractive plates being offered in the USA before.
