Kotlarczykia Fossil Fish from Carpathian MountainsDescription: This specimen is fully adult sized, with good contrast and well articulated. The skull exhibits wonderful detail as well as the fins, and body structure. Gonostomatidae is a family of deep-water marine fish, commonly named bristlemouths, lightfishes or anglemouths. It is a relatively small family, containing only eight known genera and 32 species. The Carpathians offer one of the world’s premier collecting sites for Oligocene fossil salt water fossil fish.
