Description: This is a rhombiferan cystoid known as Amecystis. They are thought to have been mobile, but lying upon the surface of the seafloor, a belief verified when one was found to have an attached edrioasteroid. The theca has partial arms, an uncommon occurrence. There is also a partial Isotomocrinus cf. typus crinoid on the plate, making for an interesting association of 2 Echinodermas of disparate morphology.
