Daguinaspis Fallotaspid TrilobiteDescription: Daguinaspis ambrogii is a very early and important index trilobite that is used for the zonation of the early Cambrian sediments of Morocco. Unfortunately, these are very difficult to find with excellent preservation. Ones like this appear to be the norm for quality of preservation. This one has good preservation of the cephalon and most of the thorax. The pygidium suffers from surface abrasion. The fallotaspids are the earliest trilobites known from the fossil record, dating to some 540 to 520 million years ago.
