Panderia beaumonti TrilobiteDescription: This is an example of the unusual trilobite Panderia beaumonti. This trilobite is a member of the family Illaenidae. Like the patronymic genus Illaenus, they are known for the high profile of the cephalon which is thought to have aided the trilobite in ploughing through the substrate in search of a meal. This one is well-displayed on a piece of schist with a pleasing sparkling appearance.
