Trilobite Acernaspis cooperiDescription: I have just recently been able to secure a selection of Early Silurian trilobites from Northeastern Quebec Province, Canada. This is the first of a series which I will be posting. all of which are quite rare. Seen here is Acernaspis cooperi, a taxon described in 2004 This one is doubtlessly the best example of the species ever offered. It is well inflated and has excellent eye facets. Prone examples such as this are rarely found. The matrix is quite hard, and many long hours of preparation were devoted to afford the exceptional specimen you see here. The location is most difficult to access, and few have ever collected there. It is the ONLY example I have to offer.
