DimuproetusDescription: Fine example of a member of the Order Proetida with many fine details present. The most diagnostic feature of this taxon is the shovel-like rostrum. It is quite similar to Cornuproetus, but this feature is enough to see it is not the same (see my other offerings). I typically come across ten examples of Cornuproetus for every example of this genus. The Proetidae were among the last of the trilobites to go extinct in the Permian over 100 million years later. This is a fine example of the type, offered here at an eminently affordable price for such An uncommon taxon.
