UNDESCRIBED Proetid Moroccan TrilobiteDescription: Fine example of a member of the Order Proetida Subfamily Proetinae with many fine details present. This one is most definitely a member of the genus Podoliproetus, but somewhat different than the ones described by Fortey and Johnson in 21012. Unlike Podoliroeutus mirdani, this one has no axial spines. While the other newly-erected species P. sinespina has no spines as the genus name indicates, the occipital lobe is much less robust. Perhaps these differences are insufficient to merit a new species name, so let us simply refer to it as Podoliproetus sp. aff. sinespina until such time as its taxonomy is sorted.
