KingaspisDescription: While Morocco is most famous for its Devonian trilobites, its history extends back to near the beginning of trilobite evolution with examples such as this one, a member of the Order Ptychopariida called Kingaspis. It is most likely the species K. moraccana. The occipital and pygidial spines have been prepared free of the matrix, making for a dramatic display. A rarely offered species, this one would make an excellent addition to any collection of trilobites from the region.
