CornuproetusDescription: Unusual example of a member of the Order Proetida, this one is a member of the genus Cornuproetus. I asked a friend who has vast experience with these what it could be. It has 10 segments so although it looks a bit like Podoliproeutus (see my other offerings). It cannot be a member of that genus. I was surprised to learn that he thinks it has similarities to the true Cornuproetus cornutus from Europe which is yet not the same. The trilobite known as C. cornuproetus is something else, possibly yet to be named.
