Barrandeops ovatus TrilobiteDescription: An elegant example of a member of the Order Phacopida, Family Phacopidae with many fine details present. Notice the eye facets present on this specimen. This specimen has been named Barrandeops ovatus by Chatterton et al, with the species name derived from the oval shape of the tubercules. The genus was named in honor of Joachim Barrande who described many species of trilobites from Bohemia.
