Rare Diminutive Aulacopleura Moroccan TrilobitDescription: A rarely-seen example of a member of the Order Proetida, Family Aulacopleuridae, this one is known as Aulacopleura beyrichi. It is the FIRST and ONLY example I have come across.. While the genus is typically applied to Silurian trilobites of Europe, this one has also been placed in the same genus despite the disparity in appearance. I know of only one other example from Morocco ever offered , and this one is far superior in terms of preservation.
