Spathacalymene nasutaDescription: This is a good adult example of the bizarre shovel-nosed trilobite Spathacalymene nasuta. Examples of this taxon are quite rarely offered. The distinctive rostrum grows with age; I’m including drawings of anSpathacalymene adult specimen for comparison purposes. All command a high price, with pristine examples valued at $3000-$5000 but I was able to acquire this one for a low purchase price. As a consequence, I am passing along the savings to the lucky buyer who is astute enough to recognize it for the bargain that it is. This would make a fine addition to any collection, whether individual or institutional.
