Acastacephala macropsDescription: This is a lateral example of the Silurian trilobite Acastacephala macrops. Some researchers prefer to place it in the genus Acaste, but I list it here as it was labeled when I picked it up in Tucson this year. Note the excellent eye facets from which the trilobite derives its specific name. This would make an excellent addition to any specialist collection of trilobites.
