Elegant example of a member of the Order Phacopida, Family Phacopidae
with many fine details present. The most diagnostic features of this
taxon are the fine schizochroal eyes and pustulose cepahlon, thorax
and pygidium, all well-displayed in this fine specimen. This specimen
has been expertly prepared by microabrasive techniques to result in
this wonderful example of the type which is very 3-D in aspect, well-centered
on its light matrix base. This is a stunning example of a new preparation
technique being attempted by my main supplier of quality Moroccan
trilobites. Relocating to a facility which has a reliable supply of
consistent electricity, they have just begun to turn out material
NEVER BEFORE offered displayed in such dramatic fashion. A great deal
of prep time went into freestanding this specimen. Notice even the
cephalic doublure can be seen from below. You must agree that the
end result was worth all the extra effort, making this a highly-desirable
example of the preparator’s skill. |
