The
Cambrian strata of the western U.S. contain a diverse biota
of trilobites and soft-bodied
fossils, including many of the same taxa found in the more
famous Burgess Shale. Many formations meet the definition of
a Lagerstätte
containing preserved soft-bodied animals that are the evolutionary
outcome of the Cambrian Explosion; these are the fossils
we especially hunt for on our varied leases.
