Fossil Pterosaur Teeth Set

Description: The Kem-Kem of Morocco is one of the few places that preserves the transitional period for Pterosaurs. There are currently at least 5 species of Pterosaurs from the region with Coloborhychus fluviferox the fourth and last to be described. Given the fact that teeth are typically found unassociated with any other skeletal elements assignment is difficult. Most teeth are sharply curved and were designed to grip a fish once plucked from the water. I have included a drawing of the skull of this last-named species show you can get a feeling for how the teeth were positioned. Note those proximal to the skull are more triangular in shape.
