Description: The Green River Formation deposits of Wyoming, Colorado, and Utah are best known for their immaculately-preserved fish, but other examples are known as well, as this specimen attests. This plaque displays a nice example of a fruit from the Sycamore (Plantanus sp.), and is a fine example of the preservation for which this biota is known. Some Plantanus have been reassigned to Macginitiea; this female inflorescence would then be termed Macginticarpa.
