flower fossilThe Green River Formation deposits of Wyoming, Colorado, and Utah are best known for their immaculately-preserved fish, but other examples are known as well, as this specimen attests. This fine piece displays a number of specimens. We have a large beetle frozen in flight, several small beetles and weevils scattered around the plate, a BEAUTIFUL flower preserved in lateral view, and a stem section, making for a fine cross-section of the lifeforms from the region.
