Fossil SpongesDescription: This plaque displays a pair of unidentified sponges from the Cambrian of Utah. Sponges are relatively uncommon in the fossil record owing to their delicacy. This specimen exhibits unusually fine preservation, and is quite unusual in that a pair of these large examples were preserved together.
