Halisaurus sp. ToothClass Sauropsida, Order Squamata, Family Mosasauridae, Subfamily Halisaurinae Geological Time: Upper Cretaceous Size (25.4 mm = 1 inch): 55 mm on 110 by 90 matirx Fossil Site: Khourigba, Morocco (phosphate deposits) Fossil Code: MT003 Price: $45.00 - sold This is a nice specimen of a complete tooth of a Mosasaur, a marine reptile predator that roamed that was unbiquitous on Earth during the era of the dinosaurs. It comes from the Late Cretaceous Phosphate deposits of Khourigba, Morocco. Mosasaur and Plesiosaur teeth teeth are very abundant from the phosphate deposits of Khourigba, Morocco. Moreover, fossils from this site that are in matrix are almost surely remounted, but there is no way to tell. Finally, we've seen these fossils grossly overpriced by some, with banal accolades such as "investment quality". These are nice and inexpensive fossils, so please don't be drupped and overpay. |
