SelenocorypheDescription: This trilobite is a rare taxon known as “Selenocoryphe platyura”. The species derives its name from the word for “wide-tailed”, referring to the broad pygidium.This is a very rare trilobite, offered here for the first time. Only a handful are known, and few match this one is size and quality. It is thought to be relayed to Acanthocephalus, but its precise familial assignment is yet to be determined.
