Ptychopyge truncatusDescription: A well-inflated example of a scarce Asaphid, this is Ptychopyge truncatus, a name derived from its relatively truncated, trapezoidal pygidium. Notice the distinctively-shaped pygidium, and the fine terrace lines. The golden Calcite expskeleton is complemented by the white limestone matrix. This one is offered at an exceptionally reasonable price for such a fine example.
