Marpolia spissaDescription: Marpolia spissa was a twisted thread-like cyanobacterium which either floated freely in the water column or attached to other objects (no attachment structures are known, however) Coming from the famous Burgess Shale Fauna, this is a highly-desirable member which will make a fine addition to any collection of Cambrian Explosion fossils. It has also been found in the Wheeler Shale of Utah.
