Stichopteryx Fish FossilDescription: This plate offers an opportunity to own an example of a rare predatory Stichopteryx fish. As they mature, Stichopteryx takes on a deeper body outline; this is a fine juvenile specimen. The genus became extinct during the Cretaceous. Notice the fine detail to the vertebral column and the soft tissue preservation. This is only the THIRD example to come out of the en-Nammoura quarry.
