TselfatiaDescription: This genus derives its name from Djebel Tselfat, Morocco, location of the first known specimen. Few are found, but recent discoveries have placed the genus in Cretaceous deposits in Texas, Yugoslavia, and most recently, Lebanon. This is a juvenile example; adult specimens possess a sail-like dorsal fin. While I have seen several adults, this is the FIRST juvenile I have come across.
