Description: This is a pair of scolorful example of the eocrinoid Ascocystites. The black color with dark brachioles and stem set off the pink color of the matrix quite well. The genus is also known from Brittany, Portugal, and the Czech Republic. See my other offerings for a death assemblage of Ascocystites eocrinoids.
