Description: This spectacular ammonite is a Cleoniceras besairei from Madagascar which has been split in half and polished to show the wonderful detail within. The individual chambers are filled with brown Calcite crystals, with the septa (divisions) between each chamber preserved as cream Calcite, making for a superb display piece. This is a fine example of an ammonite from the Albian (112 m.y.a) deposits of Madagascar, one that is sure to be a fine addition to any ammonite collection.
