Cleoniceras besairei AmmoniteDescription: This spectacular ammonite is a Cleoniceras besairei from Madagascar which has been split in half and polished to show the wonderful detail within. Some of the individual chambers are open and filled with rich mahogany-colored Calcite crystals, with the septa (divisions) between each chamber preserved as white Calcite, making for a superb display piece. This is a fine example of an ammonite from the Albian (112 m.y.a) deposits of Madagascar, one that is sure to be a fine addition to any ammonite collection.
