Dalmanitina socialisDescription: TThis is a fine example of an Ordovician dalmanitid trilobite known as Dalmanitina socialis. Better known from deposits in the Czech Republic, it is a large example with incredible details. Unlike many Ordovician trilobites, this one has some three-dimensionality. The brick red color is most likely the result of oxidation of pyrite, and renders this a colorful example of the taxon.
