Halec microlepis Fish FossilDescription: This is an exceptionally well-preserved example of a predatory fish known as Halec. Note the superb preservation of teeth, soft tissue, and scales seen throughout. The elongated shape betrays this one as a swift pursuit predator. The taxon went the way of the non-avian dinosaurs at the end of the Cretaceous. There is no repair to the specimen or matrix, making for an absolutely stunning display pieces.
