Daguinaspis ambrogii Fallotaspid TrilobitesDescription: This swarming Daguinaspis ambrogii plate has twelve partial to fully preserved specimens. Two of the Daguinaspis ambrogii are exceptionally well preserved. Of interest is that all of the specimens are petite. They are fully inflated with a muted rust/orange patina, nicely contrasting against the tan mudstone matrix. It is a positive/negative plate. All of the positive trilobites are on the larger plate side. Fully adult Daguinaspis ambrogii are generally almost 1” in length. Though of the larger ones I have observed, none have been well preserved. Daguinaspis is one of the leading trilobite species that is used for the zonation of the Cambrian sediments of Morocco.
