Polychaeta Worm TubeDescription: The Polychaeta (Bristleworms) can trace their ancestry back to the Cambrian Explosion. Some believe the Ediacaran genus Cloudina may have been the first Serpulid worm. The serpulids are often known as feather duster worms, fan worms, or tube worms. The last is reference to the tubes that they manufacture as protection. These are sometimes mineralized, and this example may represent one of the earliest such known.
