Phylum Echinodermata, Subphylum Crinozoa, Class Rhombifera

Size: Fossils are 3.2 cm (5 cm around curvature) (2 cm theca; 1 cm arms; 2 cm stem), and 3.8 cm (2.1 cm theca; 1 cm arms; 1 cm stem). The matrix dimensions are 9 x 10 cm.

Description: very nice double association late of this Ontario rhombiferan cystoid. The fossils are aesthetically displayed on a squared off limestone matrix plate. The plate will display nicely, as it is free standing. Pleurocystites grew to a height of 2 centimeters (3/4 of an inch) and fed on tiny, floating particles.
