Comptonaspis Mississippian TrilobiteDescription: By the Carboniferous trilobites, the lone surviving trilobite Order was Proetida, and in a general sense all Carboniferous trilobites are relatively rare.
The Comptonaspis lived together with another rare trilobite, Breviphillipsia sampsoni, and here they died together. Of noteworthy importance, Comptonaspis are found at only 10% the frequency of the Breviphillipsia. As differentiated from the B. sampsoni, the Comptonaspis have perfectly smooth skin with no pustules. This specimen is in excellent condition, fully 3D with eyes intact and excellent calcite skin
