          | Description:
This is the first example of this large Asaphid I have had. It
is a member of the genus Asaphellus but looks somewhat diferent
from others from the region. Both A fezouatensis and A jejuensis
have larger eyes, while A tatensis has eyes much like this but
with shorter genals. For now let’s just refer to it as
Asaphellus aff tatensis for lack of a better name. It is in fine
                condition.
There is a repaired crack that passes through the terminal thoracic
segment but it is relative unobtrusive; see the final photo for
the reverse of this specimen. That is one big nodule!
