Undescribed Nevadia Trilobite from Nevada

Nevadia n. sp.

Trilobites Order Redlichiida, Suborder Olenellina, Superfamily Fallotaspidoidea, Family Nevadiidae

Geological Time: Lower Cambrian

Size: 13 mm

Fossil Site: Montenegro Member of the Campito Formation, Esmeralda County, Nevada

NevadiaTo the best of my knowledge this is perhaps only the third complete specimen of this undescribed species of Nevadia yet found. A few of the obvious differences from the typical Nevadia weeksi are the long genal spines and much narrower thorax. The few found have been much smaller than the typical adult N. weeksi.
