Basidechenella rowi TrilobiteDescription: New York state is one of the world’s most productive areas for Devonian fossils. The northern and western parts of the state are covered with beautiful dark shales and limestones loaded with well-preserved fossils. Collectors, in particular, covet the trilobites. This fossil is complete, fully inflated and 3D with excellent eyes and overall detail. The trilobite is layed out semi-prone, with the pygidium slightly tucked down, on an irregular piece of limestone matrix. There has been about 5% restoration to the thorax. Highly respected, ace preparator, Dave Comfort of Canada, prepared the trilobite.
