Norwoodia bellaspina TrilobiteDescription: Presented is a fine, petite, and well-preserved Norwoodia. Weeks trilobites are known for their excellent 3D preservation and color. One of the hallmarks of the species are the two dominant spines present. One spine is an interesting extension of the glabella. The other is a long axial spine, which is longer than the length of the specimen’s body. The shorter spine coming off the glabella veers slightly to the left side of the axis. On this specimen, both eyes are damaged, as there is a bit of abrasion to the libergina. Hence, the attractive price. Norwoodia are quite rare and highly prized by collectors.
