          | Description:
This is a fine example of an Ordovician dalmanitid trilobite known
as Dalmanitina proeva. It is a large example with incredible details.
Note the presence of eye facets, something often not preserved.
When I showed this one to a noted expert collector he termed it
the best example of the taxon to have come from Morocco. There
              is a
              small
crinoid attached at the lower left plural lobe. It was deemed prudent
to not prepare it away in order not to risk damage to this fine
              specimen. | |
