          | Description:
A well-inflated example of a scarce Asaphid, this is Ptychopyge
broeggeri. The white limestone matrix complements the golden Calcite
exoskeleton, with the trilobite shown in a prone position. This
is one of the older members of the genus, and only the second I
have seen in five years. Notice the terracing of the pygidium and
pleural lobes, a hallmark of this taxon.
