Superphylum Ecdysozoa, Phylum Lobopodia, Class Xenusia, Family Aysheaiidae
Time: Middle Cambrian
is 20 mm (curve measure) on a 125 mm by 55 mm matrix
Upper Wheeler Shale, Millard County, Utah, USA
This is a fine essentially complete specimen of one of the most
unusual Burgess Shale type creatures: a lobopodian similar to Ayshaeia.
The genus is better known from the actual Burgess Shale of Canada,
and this is the first known example of what is most likely a different
species to be commercially offered first described in 1989. No other
lobopodian displays the paired limbs at the anterior as seen here.
