Description: The larger leaf fossil is a climbing vine in the moonseed family, in association with a sprig of dawn redwood. A smaller fossil is included with the frond of taxodium).

These plant fossils come from a very old collection, some 50 to 60 years old, the plant fossil collection of a husband and wife who combed more than 100 plant fossil sites, almost all west of the Mississippi River.
